Antes de ameaçar Rick e sua turma em The Walking Dead, Jeffrey Dean Morgan fez sucesso na pele de John Winchester, pai de Dean e Sam na série de sucesso Supernatural, que está em sua 13ª temporada. O ator sempre demonstrou interesse em voltar ao personagem, mas agora foi um pouco mais direto do que o de costume.
“Quando Robert Kirkman matar Negan, eu volto para Supernatural. Aquela série é interminável, acho que estão na temporada 400, mas digo que adoraria voltar e dar uma conclusão para aquele personagem”, afirmou Jeffrey durante painel no Walker Stalker Cruise, cruzeiro temático de TWD.
Também presente no painel, Kirkman, criador da série, brincou que então não matará Negan nunca. E completou: “Na verdade, eu mataria ele amanhã se voltasse para Magic City.” Mas Morgan foi tratando de colocar panos quentes: “Não acho que tenha chances de isso acontecer.”
O painel, que também contou com a presença de Norman Reedus, o Daryl, foi muito divertido, ainda que tenha sido um pouco prejudicado pela chuva em sua metade final. Os três profissionais demonstraram uma ótima química, que pode ser vista nos pequenos detalhes, como o fato de Jeffrey brincar que Rick tem uma péssima mira com uma metralhadora, relembrando o episódio inicial da oitava temporada. O comentário caiu como uma alfinetada a Kirkman, que escreveu a cena. “Acho que vocês estão pegando pesado com as críticas”, brincou.
