Nesta quarta-feira, 31 de janeiro, o céu estará como não se via há 150 anos. O fenômeno da Superlua, que já aconteceu no comecinho do mês, volta, agora acompanhado de um eclipse lunar, uma Lua de Sangue e uma Lua Azul.
A última vez em que isso ocorreu foi em 1866 e a próxima vez será em 31 de janeiro de 2037. No Brasil, de acordo com a Nasa, apenas cidades do Norte do país, a maioria no Estado do Acre, poderão ver o eclipse lunar. O que será visível no território brasileiro é Superlua e a Lua Azul. Entenda cada um dos fenômenos.
Superlua
A órbita da Lua é elíptica, e um lado (apogeu) está cerca de 50.000 quilômetros mais distante da Terra do que o outro mais próximo (perigeu). Portanto, durante os 28 dias de ciclo lunar, o satélite às vezes se encontra mais próximo de nós do que outras vezes. A Superlua ocorre quando o momento de maior aproximação é, além disso, o momento em que há Lua cheia. Seu tamanho será entre 10% e 15% superior ao habitual. Lua Azul
Considera-se que uma Lua cheia é uma “Lua Azul” quando duas luas cheias acontecem no mesmo mês. Como em janeiro já tivemos uma Lua cheia no início do mês (outra Superlua entre 1º e 2 de janeiro) esta segunda Lua cheia é, além disso, uma “Lua Azul”.
Eclipse lunar
Por outro lado, no dia 31 de janeiro acontece um terceiro fenômeno, menos comum do que a Superlua e a Lua Azul: a Terra, o Sol e a Lua estarão alinhados, resultando em um eclipse lunar total. A Lua cheia coincide com o momento em que a Lua entra na sombra da Terra, produzindo assim um eclipse.
O eclipse, no entanto, não será visível em todo o planeta. Não poderá ser visto na América do Sul, na África e na Europa Ocidental, mas será visível América do Norte durante a madrugada de 31 de janeiro. Na Ásia, Austrália, Nova Zelândia e leste da Rússia será possível ver o eclipse lunar total.
Lua de Sangue
O último fenômeno astronômico deste 31 de janeiro é a Lua de Sangue. Durante o decorrer do eclipse, a atmosfera da Terra filtrará a luz azul e verde dos raios solares, mas deixará passar a luz vermelha. Por isso a Lua ficará tingida pelo reflexo do brilho avermelhado que chegará procedente da nossa atmosfera. Portanto, essa Lua de Sangue será visível apenas nas partes do planeta onde o eclipse puder ser visto.
