Com apresentação de Seth Meyers, a cerimônia de entrega do Globo de Ouro 2018 aconteceu na noite deste domingo (7), em Los Angeles, nos Estados Unidos. Promovida pela Associação da Imprensa Estrangeira em Hollywood (HFPA, na sigla original), a disputa tradicionalmente dá largada na temporada de prêmios. Há categorias dedicadas a produções para cinema e para TV.

Nicole Kidman foi a primeira ganhadora da noite, levando o prêmio de melhor atriz em minissérie ou filme feito para a TV, por seu trabalho em “Big little lies”, eleita melhor série limitada ou filme para a TV.

“Big little lies”, que era mesmo uma das favoritas, rendeu também os prêmios de ator coadjuvante, para Alexander Skarsgård, e atriz coadjuvante, para Laura Dern.

Em seu agradecimento, Nicole citou o “poder das mulheres”, e a fala de Laura foi na mesma linha. Os discursos estavam de acordo com a manifestação das várias atrizes que neste 75º Globo de Ouro se vestiram de preto para denunciar o assédio sexual sofrido pelas mulheres em Hollywood e pedir igualdade de gêneros. O protesto vem na sequência das dezenas de acusações de estupro contra o produtor Harvey Weinstein.

A melhor série de drama foi “The Handmaid’s Tale”, que rendeu ainda prêmio de melhor atriz para Elisabeth Moss. Já a melhor série de comédia ou musical foi “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, que garantiu o prêmio de melhor atriz para Rachel Brosnahan.

O melhor ator em série de drama foi Sterling K. Brown, por “This is us”. O melhor ator em série de comédia ou musical foi Aziz Ansari, por “Master of None”.

Enquanto isso, o melhor ator de minissérie ou filme feito para TV foi Ewan McGregor, por “Fargo”. Ele superou Robert De Niro (“O mago das mentiras”), Geoffrey Rush (“Genius”), Jude Law (“The Young Pope”) e Kyle MacLachlan (“Twin Peaks”).

Já entre os prêmios de cinema, “Lady Bird: É hora de voar” ficou com o prêmio de melhor filme de comédia ou musical, vencendo “Artista do desastre”, “Corra!”, “Eu, Tonya” e “O rei do show”.

Guillermo del Toro ficou com o troféu de melhor diretor por “A forma da água”. Ele concorria com Christopher Nolan (“Dunkirk”), Martin McDonagh (“Três anúncios para um crime”), Ridley Scott (“Todo o dinheiro do mundo”) e Steven Spielberg (“The Post: A guerra secreta”).

E deu James Franco na categoria melhor ator em comédia ou musical, pelo filme “Artista do desastre”. Ele deixou para trás Ansel Elgort (“Em ritmo de fuga”), Daniel Kaluuya (“Corra!”), Hugh Jackman (“O rei do show”) e Steve Carell (“A guerra dos sexos”).

A melhor animação foi a nova produção da Disney-Pixar, “Vida: A vida é uma festa”.

O prêmio de melhor ator coadjuvante ficou com Sam Rockwell, por seu trabalho em “Três anúncios para um crime”.

A atriz e apresentadora Oprah Winfrey recebeu o prêmio Cecil B. DeMille, entregue pelo conjunto da obra. Ela autou em filmes como “A cor púrpura” (1985), “Bem-amada” (1998), “O mordomo da Casa Branca” (2013) e “Selma: Uma luta pela igualdade” (2014).

Ela fez um discurso forte sobre a força das mulheres e dos negros.
