A Editora JBC entrou oficialmente para a “Era” dos mangás digitais com o lançamento de alguns de seus títulos em formato digital. Primeiro foram lançados o Henshin Mangá (#1 e #2), Combo Rangers Ano Um (#1 e #2) e Combo Rangers Revolution (Edição Especial Série Completa), todos de autores brasileiros. Os mangás foram editados em formato e-book, e já estão disponíveis nas melhores lojas digitais e podem ser acessados (lidos) de qualquer lugar do mundo.
A partir do dia 1o de dezembro de 2017 começam a ser lançados os primeiros mangás de autores japoneses no mercado digital brasileiro em formato de e-book. Os títulos que chegam em formato e-book são: Blame! e Knights of Sidonia, de Tsutomu Nihei; Fairy Tail, de Hiro Mashima; Fort of Apocalypse, de Kazu Inabe e Yu Kuraishi, Samurai 7, de Mizutaka Suhou; The Seven Deadly Sins, de Nakaba Suzuki e The Ghost in the Shell, de Shirow Masamune. Até o final de dezembro, a previsão é de que sejam liberados mais de 100 volumes de mangás. Para os títulos que ainda estão em publicação no Brasil, o lançamento em formato digital deve acompanhar a chegada de cada volume em versão impressa.
Seguindo as versões impressas, os mangás digitais da Editora JBC têm sentido de leitura oriental (da esquerda para a direita). O formato é compatível para navegação em aparelhos como smartphones, tablets, e-readers ou computadores.
A comercialização dos e-books da JBC é realizada pelas principais lojas do segmento no mundo: Amazon, Kobo Rakuten, Kobo Livraria Cultura, iBooks e Google Play Books. Cada loja oferece aos leitores aplicativos e suporte necessários para que a leitura seja dinâmica e passe o melhor da experiência com os livros digitais.
