A organização do Game Critics Awards finalmente divulgou a lista de jogos da E3 2018 que estão indicados às diferentes categorias do prêmio neste ano, para definir quais foram os melhores títulos que apareceram na feira neste ano.
Os grandes destaques entre os candidatos são Anthem, com cinco indicações, e Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, com quatro. A Ubisoft é a empresa com mais nomeações, com um total de 11, enquanto EA e Sony estão juntas em segundo, com 10, e a Nintendo em terceiro, com 9. Dos indicados, 58 são jogos de PlayStation 4, 55 de PC, 51 de Xbox One e 10 de Switch.
É importante notar que para ser válido como indicação, o jogo tinha que ter, pelo menos, cinco minutos jogáveis para os veículos que são jurados. Sendo assim, títulos como Cyberpunk 2077, Devil May Cry 5 e The Last of Us Part II ficaram de fora das categorias normais, mas ainda podem aparecer nas Recomendações Especiais.
