Baby Driver foi um dos destaques do cinema em 2017. Contando com uma história envolvente, excelentes cenas de ação e uma trilha sonora perfeita, o longa foi um sucesso de bilheterias e deixou muitos fãs clamando por uma sequência.
Se você é uma dessas pessoas, boas notícias: ao que tudo indica, o diretor Edgar Wright já está trabalhando nessa continuação. Em uma entrevista para a Entertainment Weekly, Wright afirmou que “as conversas já estão acontecendo” e que “o contrato está sendo assinado nesse momento”.
“Se tudo der certo, eu vou escrever no mínimo um segundo filme. Eu definitivamente estou cheio de ideias. Não sei se será meu próximo filme, estou decidindo isso agora mesmo, na verdade. Eu tenho alguns projetos que eu já estava desenvolvendo, e também algumas ideias novas que apareceram e também todas as coisas legais que me ofereceram desde então. ”
Por fim, o diretor disse que, seja lá qual for seu próximo projeto, ele quer começar seu próximo projeto o mais cedo possível:
“Eu quero voltar para o trabalho muito em breve, porque — embora tenha sido um pouco fora do meu controle — teve um espaço de quatro anos entre The World’s End e Baby Driver. Eu não quero que leve tanto tempo novamente. Eu queria muito poder lançar um filme novo nos próximos dois anos. ”
Vale lembrar que o filme original conta com Kevin Spacey, ator afastado de todas as suas atividades e excluído de House Of Cards, da Netflix, por conta de denúncias de abuso sexual.
