O fato de que os dois compartilham um vínculo muito forte significa que uma batalha frontal é improvável. Contudo, era só uma questão de tempo que um velocista principal fosse escolhido, já que ambos existem como “Flash” no Renascimento.
O que faz do prelúdio de Guerra do Flash ainda mais intrigante é a sua arte de capa. Ela sugere uma escolha, e não meramente um vencedor – e Wally West é o responsável pela decisão. West, que retornou definitivamente à DC em 2016, ainda é um homem à sombra de seu passado, então é garantia de que o personagem ganhará um novo desenvolvimento neste ano.
A primeira edição da revista anual do Flash, que traz o prelúdio da nova história dos velocistas, chega às bancas norte-americanas em 31 de janeiro. A Guerra do Flash começa em #46, que será lançada em abril.
